Business Development

The Barbour County Development Authority (BCDA) works to recruit and develop businesses within the county.  We strive to meet the needs of the business community and continue to create more innovative ways to grow our local economy.

Barbour County Pitch Contest:

In 2019, the BCDA developed a new program to encourage entrepreneurship and growth of existing businesses. Five thousand dollars ($5,000) were raised in the community to be awarded to creative ideas to help new and existing businesses grow. At the end of the contest, three local entrepreneurs were awarded funds.
